Hi everyone . . . Well - we have had some wicked weather here lately, and today mother nature kicked it up a notch!
This was taken just down the street from my house in Kill Devil Hills . . . spooky, huh? For those of you who don’t know me, you may be thinking, “oh, cool . . .”, but for my family and friends, you all know I was as happy as a kid in a candy store today when I saw this
Take care, and I hope everyone is well!

I just wanted to pop in and say Thank You! to my brides, grooms, families and friends in 2008. We are mid-way through this year, and have had a blast with each and every one of you. Those of you who have climbed the dunes w/ me at Coquina, braved the mosquitos at the lighthouse, dodged lightning bolts, endured the smoke and fought off crowds of onlookers (Marilyn & Family, you know what I’m talking about :)) - you are all such troopers! I am so pleased to have been able to be there with each of you, and look forward to talking more to you in the weeks following your time here on the Outer Banks.
To my brides - you are all unique and beautiful. I am having such a great time seeing and editing your images, and I can’t wait to show you your galleries so that you can relive the day over and over again.
To the vendors - you are all great. Thanks so much for your support, and I love working with you all. Sugar Snap Events now has Sugar Snap Florals, and they have blown me away with what I have seen so far this year! You should all check them out at http://www.sugarsnapevents.com/
Thanks again, and everyone please keep in touch!

Kara + Dane got married in Frisco down on Hatteras Island . . . The beautiful weather was a perfect match for a beautiful beach ceremony as family and friends stood and watched. We were able to get away for a few minutes so we walked down the beach to the Frisco pier and let the two of them have a moment together -
The reception was held at the beach house, and was full of food and fun - everyone had such a great time with each other. One of the most touching moments in the evening was when the groom pulled out his guitar and sang his new bride a song he wrote for her . . .
Enjoy the pics -

Jennifer + Jason were married in Corolla on a very rainy day, but that didn’t stop them from having a gorgeous, intimate wedding with family and friends inside the beach house. After a very emotional ceremony, the couple mingled with their families then allowed me to steal them away to the beach for a few shots.
Oh! And Jason made the cake! We are very impressed . . .
Enjoy these shots -

Hey everyone - just wanted to say hello and share a few shots from the beach this morning. The weather on the Outer Banks is very nasty today with high winds and cooler temperatures. The sky was doing some beautiful things this morning, so I stopped on my way back from getting coffee to grab a few shots - enjoy!

Wow - it has been a while since I was able to update this space . . . I hope you are all doing well
First post I have is of Helen & Jason - he was home from Iraq for a bit and was about to leave again. We met at the beach around sunset (in April - very chilly!). we came away with some intimate shots, as well as some fun, lighthearted moments.
Best wishes to H+J!

Last week I had the pleasure of working with Madeline and John, who are to be married in November in Virginia Beach. On Saturday my assistant and I covered the engagement party that Katie, John’s sister, threw for them in Kill Devil Hills. It was an absolute blast, and my hat goes off to Katie for pulling together such a great party! I actually went to school with some of the people who attended, so it was nice to see many of them again . . .
Below are a few pics from their engagement portrait session at Coquina Beach in South Nags Head for you to enjoy. I will be posting more images from the engagement party at the beach house, so keep checking back . . .

Congratulations go out to Dionne for the new addition to her family . . . baby Marianna. I can’t even tell you how much I enjoy infant & children’s portraiture! It was such a pleasure working with Dionne and her family, and I wish them success in the coming years.
Here is one picture from the session - more to come
